This is Adwa Cooper-Henri's first piece into the world of pop-art! Adwa starts her dialog with a conversational piece close to her heart.
"Pulling The Debt Pin," speaks of her sweet life in Hong Kong as she calls it. She moved there during the recession in 2009 and she remembers thinking "what recession?"...China is not in any danger of a liquidity crisis, but bad loans may lead it to suffer a banking crisis. The piece is about her major apprehension of her favorite city Hong Kong and country China. She has concerns about the money being funneled into property projects as the latest stress test by China's banking regulatory authority suggest Chinese banks can withstand a 50% decline in property prices.
"You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to somehow trust that the dots connect you to your future" - Steve Jobs. She lived three amazing years in Hong Kong and can't help but believe she was destined for it as she speaks fluent Cantonese which she leaned at a very young age. Her strong passion and connection to China, mainly Hong Kong, still remains. She travels 4-6 times a year to her second home!
